    The event will be during the farmers’ market with live music. Raffle prizes include nursing covers, baby quilts and gift bags. Various booths in attendance 
    include nutrition, breastfeeding, lead prevention program and perinatal guidance program. There will als be a cooking demo including how to make your own

August 4- "7th Annual Breastfeeding Awareness Walk and Celebration"
     Sponsored by Fresno County's Babies First Breastfeeding Task Force. : The event features the August Breastfeeding Awareness Month proclamation from
     the County of Fresno, speakers, 2 mile walk around the park, entertainment, refreshments, information tables, raffle and the opportunity for nursing

 Awards issued to workplaces within the Sacramento region who have gone above and beyond to support breastfeeding for their employees at the Sacramento State Capital presented by the Breastfeeding Coalition of Greater Sacramento.

​Tuolumne County
August 8- 10am World Walk for Breastfeeding
 Members will take part in Tuolumne County LLL's annual World Walk for Breastfeeding at Pinecrest Lake.

Health Care Provider Folders: We provide local health care providers that see breastfeeding mothers and babies with folders containing updated information on breastfeeding, including our local breastfeeding resources and LLL flyers, fact sheets about breastfeeding challenges common in our area, and updates on breastfeeding support and science. We also bring them home-baked cookies.
Medications and Mothers' Milk: This year, we are giving copies of the 2012 Medications and Mothers' Milk reference guide to our local pediatricians, OB/GYNs, and Birth Center.
Gift Basket: The mother of the first breastfeeding baby born in Tuolumne County on August 1 receives a gift basket valued around $100 containing a Maya wrap, “The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding” book, a manual breast pump, cloth nursing pads, and other items from local breastfeeding-friendly businesses. 

Sutter County
 August 15,from 9-12 - "Baby Fair” 
The WIC Program is hosting a fair for pregnant moms and parents of infants up to 6 months of age. Activities and information will include programs from our Peer Counselors, MCAH, SNAP-Ed, Car Seats, Infant Massage, CHDP, Folic Acid, Immunizations, Lead, and others! The event will include a few games and raffle prizes. Ventura County-Ventura
August 7- 10:00 am  "Breastfeeding Friendly Awards and World Breastfeeding Week Proclamation"
     Sponsored by the Breastfeeding Coalition of Ventura County. Ten minute presentation to the Ventura County Board of Supervisors – announcement & 
     presentation of Breastfeeding Friendly Award winners, proclamation presented to the Breastfeeding Coalition of Ventura County by the Board of 
     Supervisors acknowledging World Breastfeeding Week. A support march from a local park precedes the presentation and a celebratory picnic at the park
